Fifteenth Sunday in Ordinary Time – 10 July 2022

Deuteronomy 30:10-14.  Psalm 69:14, 17, 30-31, 33-34, 36, 37.  OR Psalm19:8, 9, 10, 11.  Colossians 1:15-20.  Luke 10:25-37.

About Doing Likewise.  Question 1:  What must I do to inherit eternal life?  Question 2:  What is written in the law?  Answer 1:  Love God, love neighbor, love self.  Question 3:  Who is my neighbor, then?  Answer 2:  The one who shows mercy (In this story, it is not the one who needs mercy – though likely a neighbor, too.).  Point:  Go and do the same!

• Who is a “neighbor” beyond my acquaintances, my tribe?
• What mercy work do I see being done?
• What will I likewise go and do?
