All Saints, Solemnity – Monday, 01 November 2021  

Revelation 7:2-4, 9-14.  Psalm 24:1-2, 3-4, 5-6.  1 John 3:1-3.  Matthew 5:1-12a.

Nine Times Blessed.  All the saints, those named as such and those many more known now by name only to God are holy and blessed by what they did.  Mercy work is blessed work.

  • In honor of the saints today, what mercy work will I do?
  • Here is the list: Corporal Works of Mercy ¨ Feed the hungry ¨ Give drink to the thirsty ¨ Shelter the homeless ¨ Clothe the naked ¨ Visit the sick ¨ Visit the prisoners ¨ Bury the dead ¨ Give alms to the poor ¨ Care of our Common Home ¨

Praying for the Dead.  Those who have gone before us need all the help they can get.

  • Let me pray for the blessed dead, that they will see God face-to-face for ever.
