Prayer When You Have Nothing Left to Give

Lord, I have nothing left to give.
I’m exhausted and worn out.
Yet so many still ask for more.
Grant me that last ounce of strength
that sustained you on the cross
and allowed you to give
one last word of forgiveness,
that I may be gentle
with others and with myself.
And when that too is spent,
help me stay present even
in my emptiness, and let
my presence be the
first and last
gift I have
to give.
Amen.
 

Oración cuando ya no tienes nada que dar

Señor, no tengo nada que dar.
Estoy agotada y desgastada.
Sin embargo, muchos todavía piden más.
Concédeme esa última gota de fuerza
que te sostenía en la cruz
y permitió que puedas dar
una última palabra de perdón,
que pueda ser yo amable
con los demás y conmigo misma.
Y cuando eso también se agote,
ayúdame a estar presente
incluso en mi vacío, y
deja que mi presencia
sea el primer y
último regalo
que tengo
que dar.
Amén.
