Bulletin Shorts for the Twelfth Sunday in Ordinary Time

Twelfth Sunday in Ordinary Time – 21 June 2020

Jeremiah 20:10-13.  Psalm 69:8-10, 14, 17, 33-35.  Romans 5:12-15.  Matthew 10:26-33.

“Do Not Be Afraid.”  Who would count every single hair on our heads?  God, who knows us better than we know ourselves.  And loves us, too.  Though we may be afraid of some things in life, afraid of the shape of the world, even afraid of some persons, we need never fear God – who is with us like a mighty champion.

  • Of what and of whom am I afraid?
  • How will I trust that divine power is superior to earthly power?
  • How can I, like God, tend to at least one who is poorer than me?
