This is an interesting twist on eulogies. I agree that funerals should be a liturgy about a new life in eternity. But shouldn’t those present who may not be part of the post funeral “celebration of life” have the opportunity to pay respects to the human life of the deceased? Recent funerals I have attended, combine both.
